    Phumlani Nkwanyana epzikode@gmail.com

pkI am Phumlani Nkwanyana, former University of Zululand student. In 2008 I enrolled with the University of Zululand doing BA Formative majoring with Communication Science and Psychology. In 2011 I registered my BA. Honours in Communication science to further expand my skills.

Fortunately before completing my Honours in Communication Science I was employed by radio Khwezi.

Radio Khwezi is the second biggest community radio station in the Province of KwaZulu-Natal, with the listenership of more than 200 000. I work as the news reader daily at the station. I also work as the producer for Daily current affairs. After two months I was also appointed as the show producer for the educational program.

Moreover, I present weekend current affairs. My daily duties include gathering news for hourly bulletins from different sources. Moreover I prepare stories for daily current affairs reporting on diverse breaking news unfolding in and around KZN. I also spend my time researching and developing new ideas that must be included in the show that I am the producer of. All the skills that Mrs Samantha Moodley equipped me with are really required in my daily duties. I wish to extend my gratitude for her selfless support she gave us in our Journalism classes

    Hi Dr. Rugbeer
I am Ntokozo Protus Mathenjwa. I work at KwaHlabisa hospital. I got an internship as a PRO. I started on the 1 of August 2007. Prof. Rugbeer your degree has moulded me well. You are my grass roots I saw you on May 18 in the graduation ceremony but I didn't get a chance to speak to you, I was willing to speak to you, I also had an interview in Gaunteg. I passed the interview.

You have to be proud of yourself that most of your students are powerful Public Relations Officers some are working in SuperSport as the  assistant web masters like S.M Qwabe and Mr. Sibeko although the are earning R6500.00 per month in the private company and I myself I will be earning only R3000.00 per month because it is the internship.

Send my regards to all your staff members more especially Mrs Moodley and Dr Hooyberg. Could you please reply to me on my cell phone. I don't have the internet access. I am using somebody else’s internet access .Tell your students that they must always visit www.kznhealth.gov.za and click to vacancies they will see the lots of posters in different hospitals. We only have the intranet not the internet.
    Kindly regards
    Ntokozo Protus Mathenjwa

Hello Prof, I have been longing for this opportunity to write to you but I lost your E-mail address. How are you? I am Sihle Paul Mafambane (Deputy Chairperson for 2006 Comm Sci Executive Committee). We were very fortunate to have a HOD of your calibre. You were there for us when we needed you, even when things were tough for us but you helped us.

Actually I wanted to tell you that at least seven of 2006 PR students are now on an Internship Programme at KZN Health. These are:

    • Sihle Paul Mafambane (Zululand District Health, Comm. Offiicer),

    • Protus Mathenjwa (PRO at Hlabisa Hospital),

    • Zulu Fred Malusi (Vryheid Hospital,

    • Dlamini Bless (Nkandla Hospital),

    • Shabangu Bruce(Mosvold Hospital),

    • Gumede Feziwe (Eshowe Hoispital).

We are proud to be your former students; you taught us everything that is required in the field of Business Communications.

    Thanks Prof.

May God richly bless you with the words of judiciousness and the heart/mind of helping in building the better S.A.
